Personal Property Exemptions?

What is the name of your state? CA

I'm looking over the California System 2 excemption list, and under PERSONAL PROPERTY, 703.140 (b)(3) it says:

"Animals, crops, appliances, furnishings, household goods, books, musical instruments & clothing to $450 per item"

...but it doesn't list an "up to" value. Is there one?

Also, what if something doesn't exactly fit a category? For example, would a bike be exempt under this (assuming the value is less than $450)?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Is this 'bike' a bicycle or a motorcycle ?? If its a bicycle, its personal property, but a motorcycle would be considered a vehicle (as well as personal property).

System 2 exemptions also says :

"Real or personal property, including co-op, used as residence to $15,000; unused portion of homestead may be applied to any property"

So, I believe that means a MAX of 15K and no more than $450 PER ITEM.
