hi scott, I don't know about illinois. I work in trenton, nj. I have been told by our personnel that they are not legally permitted to release any info other than verification of employment, how long, and salary. . . however, there are always ways of getting what you want

Frani, your personnel people are mistaken. Many, many companies have chosen to have a policy of only releasing that information, but it is NOT law.
