What is the name of your state? FL
I was caught twice for driving without a license the second time was in violation of probation from the first offense. I spent twelve days in jail on no bond before I got out. I was on probation in suwannee co and got caught in columbia co, I did get my license before court in suwannee co but due to a mix up at the DMV I did not have my license in columbia co when I went to court. I asked for an extension and was denied. I signed a plea agreement then that says get license and 25 hrs comm service and fines and to do all this while on probation. I did get my license the day after court and showed probation but my question is this. Can I go to the judge or DA and ask to be free from community service? I did spend twelve days in jail for the offense and never Been in trouble before. I ask because I have three children and no one to take care of them and therefore can't do the community service. My husband works two jobs and is not home really other than sleeping. Do you think the judge or DA would let me out of community service? Thanks for your time!

The judge is the one you have to persuade. I think it's unlikely. It appears no situation has changed since he imposed that sentence, so why would he act differently?

I had a problem with DMV, my records showed I had never had a license and that I was three years old. So I had to work with them because I did have a old copy proving I had a license, Tallahassee had to re build a record for me . I did get my license the day after court.
