What is the name of your state? illinois

i have power of attorney for my dad. he is now on his death bed and i was told he was goingt o die real soon his kidneys are shutting down he cant talk or keep his eyes open. anyway about 4 months ago he was doing good and still had his mind i was in financial trouble do to losing my job and i asked his permission to take a cash advance out on a credit card that he had and he told me yes. my question is can i be held responsible for that money when he passes away.

Sorry to hear about your dad's health problems. I am not an attorney.
Having had both my parents die I learned that you will need a dozen of so copies of the death certificate. You will need to mail a copy of the death certificate to the credit card company. That is your only responsibility to them.

If there are any other heirs to dad's estate and they put up a "stink" about the cash advance on dad's credit card, you certainly could be held responsible for that money.
