The "cardiologist husband" did not respond as one would expect a professional to respond to my challenge.
I don't think he knew that you were challenging him. I thought it was directed at Ellencee. I didn't even know you were challenging him. Even if he did...he would not have responded the way you would want him to. He hates this site!! I believe he only quickly jumped in due to my admitted frustration.
For now I will still assume that Shelly has written all the posts under her moniker and nothing more until I see something demonstrating any expertise or competence.

I think I have demonstrated more than once...my medical knowledge that could only be obtained via a formal education. Do you really think I would be married to a guy who works at the "local burger barn" who is in charge of the mustard and ketchup section of the "burger assmebly line" ?? On the other hand....FREE BURGERS!!! :D :D

Ahhh yes: A match made in heaven!! :D :D

Ellencee: I appologize to you for hubby calling you a moron! It's not my style, and I don't approve of it. :)

Shelly, why don't you have your husband post a reply, it would be most informative to have a cardiac surgeon offer his opinion.

{258pm pst}I would love to, but unfortunately he is never here. Why do you think I spend so much time on this forum? (NOT anything to be proud of, but...it is what it is)!

Actually, right now it is 6:00 on the east coast. He called about 1/2 hour ago and is just starting an emergency CABG (Coronary Artery Bipass Graft) from the ER. :(

I am sometimes curious who we ever conceived two children!!!

purgatory is the worst he has to worry about.

Number one, what does purgatory have to do with a pneumothorax that we're trying to HELP someone out with, do you have attention deficit disorder, or are you 9 years old ? - this is the way my 4th grader rambles on. If the "cardiologists" that you are working for are experiencing a large number of Pneumothoraxes from routine caths, then they really are not good (actually BAD), or you work in a cath lab in a 3rd World country, and if purgatory is the WORST I need to worry about (i.e. I'll do some time and move on to heaven), then I'll be in good shape - learn the definition of purgatory (and pneumothorax for that matter) and learn how to write a decent insult moron.

I love my wife more than you will ever experience!!! You can take that to the bank along with my pay check and experience!!!

Signed: The Cardiac Surgeon himself!!!!!

Based on your personal ignorant responce...you'll wish pergatory was an option for you. Help the OP!!! Don't pass judgement on others!!!
Your husband had the opportunity to establish some credibility here re the clinical issues and in turn the legal oitential of those issues and he seems to care more to debate and to honestly address OP's question. It was not a professional response.
Well I expect a certain level of professionalism and addressing clinical issues raised, you claimed he was too busy

Hi rmet: I can promise will 100% certainty that he does not/will not every wish to establish credibility here on this site. As I said earlier...HE HATES THIS SITE! That's his opinion. I like this site! That's my opinion.
The only reason he jumped in was because of my admitted frustration with the personal slam that was made about him just prior from Ellencee. I think it is safe to assume that I don't like personal confrontations between poster's. Having a different educated opinion is one thing...this is a forum! However when it gets personal (especially without cause) then I hate it!

The debate we are having right now is actually his #1 reason for hating this site thus is one of the reasons he chooses to not get involved. Almost every thread gets turned into a personal he said/she said knock-down-drag-out fight between posters. :(

Additionally: When he is home...the last thing he wants to do is enter into a debate with someone on this site, never-the-less at 11:00 p.m.(he gets into enough debates with myself and the kids :D ).

Now...with that cleared up, hopefully, we can put this to rest. :) :) :)

Additional Note: His typing skills are almost as bad as his handwritting , which is HORRIBLE    . What he pays his transcriptionist is definately money well spent!!!

I have a disability that makes it difficult to type. I make typos all the time, yet I make attempts to address clinical issues in a professional manner because these issues are too important for people to play games. What is there to hate about that?

I was not asking for a debate but his professional opinion. While I'm neither an attorney nor a physician, I do have a doctorate and CME's in cardiology. And I would expect an answer following a polite request for his opinion as opposed to your 3rd hand version of it rather than this side stepping song and dance with which you are now entertaining us. It does nothing for your credibility either. It is not at all unusual for a member to request another member posting to provide citations as a way of supporting their suggestions or advice. Now if we were asking a question about a zit on the tuckus, I would not expect him to take the time to answer, but when he is asked a question related to his scope of practice and he takes the time to answer, I expect him to demonstrate professional competence, otherwise all I can assume is that you are the only one posting.

I AM THE ONLY ONE POSTING!!!!  When have I ever said otherwise???? He is not a member of this site nor does he care to be. So....with that being said...why does he owe you anything? I have my own medical background, but when I have a question...I ask him and/or other friends who are also in the medical field in order to help the OP and NOT to impress other posters.

Eventhough your "request" was indeed polite :) ...again I will say HE IS NOT A MEMBER, DOES NOT WANT TO BE A MEMBER, AND DOES NOT WANT TO POST AS A MEMBER. He does NOT have the time to fuss with a LEGAL FORUM!!! I don't know what is so hard to understand here!!!  HE IS NOT RETIRED and has VERY LITTLE FREE TIME. What free time he does have...he is not going to waste here!!!

Again...the only reason he posted last night was because of ME!!!! Other than that...he has never posted here, and probably will NEVER will.

OP: I'm sorry for your thread being Hijacked with a thread fight. Out of respect for you...I will no longer continue to post on this thread. I hope you can continue to find knowledge here. :) :) :)

No matter how this thread turns out, it is nice to know that you still have a sense of humor during this traumatic time in your life. I lost my only brother suddenly from a heart attack last Holiday season. It's been tough to say the very least.

Keep your head up and Good luck to you! :)
