All of this is still a bit too dramatic for me, but you know... I suppose Stealth and I will just ride off into the sunset.

I said in my last post that I am feeling better energy wise recently, but I still have a pretty nasty cough. I have been trying to rest as much as possible, and I do have a husband and a 16 and 15 yr old at home. They cared for the kids for me for almost two weeks. I'm really glad that they were so helpful, as for the first week I was literally in bed almost constantly. My husband had to take some time off of work to take care of me.

I'm hoping to avoid an asthma attack on Monday because it's embarrassing to cough like I have a disease or something. :o I should be done with my antibiotics the day before the mediation hearing. I'll make sure to take my inhaler and ask them to excuse me for a moment if I have a bad coughing spell. I'm trying to prepare for it as much as possible so that I hit all the right points that I need to and don't get sidetracked. I feel like I should have been prepared a while ago and I lost a lot of time in being sick.

If you're done with the antibiotics, you won't be contagious any more.

Your lack of preparation isn't really the court's problem - or anyone else's.

Bottom line is that you can try to call the mediator in advance to see if it can be rescheduled, but if they won't reschedule it, then you'd better be there - cough or no cough.

At the end of the day, as misto posted - you're not contagious anymore. So I guess you'd best plan on being there, inhaler in hand. That you *might* have an asthma attack during mediation isn't a reason to postpone it.

Honestly? I am understanding your need to dramatize this situation less as time goes on.

You could be Ben... I will admit to always having a soft spot for Hoss, though. So... I'll swap, if you want.

Who's gonna be Hop Sing? Dude can cook!

I *heart* Hoss and Adam.

I'd be Hop Sing -- I can cook, and I'd much rather be Hop Sing than any girl who ever romanced with Little Joe: they all DIE!

Wow, you poor thing..

I've had asthma for years. I don't understand why coughing should embarrass you. At all. Unless you are coughing all OVER someone, which is just rude.

If you start wheezing or coughing, just take the inhaler! I think everyone else is right- you are making FAR more of a deal out of this than you should be. People like me deal with this every day, especially during the winter. My god, it is an absolute WONDER we can go anywhere or do anything!
