Bigamy, what to do?

What is the name of your state? Colorado My sister was married in Colorado, and had filed for a divorce. She and her boyfriend, before her divorce was final, got married in Las Vegas. She and her boyfriend/husband have broken up. Is their marriage legitimate? Does she have to get that marriage annulled? Could she in legal trouble because of this?

Sounds like she likes weddings way more than marriages.

Where does the polygany part come in? Sounds like Bigamy to me. Was there a third groom?

Your sister is definitely in trouble...in trouble with the law I'm not sure but she's in big trouble when it comes to common sense. As far as the law goes, she broke it. I would suggest having her annull the marriage. If memory serves she's going to need her ex to be in on it (for at least a signature) so she better get in touch with him. Overall the best advice I can give you to pass along to her is to seek a local attorney (this has to be handled very carefully for her to avoid being in a lot of hot water). I would also suggest that she take a long look at her life and her decisions and figure out a plan to improve both.
