I work for a contractor supplying widgets for the government. Another contractor has a one time emergency need for me to build them a widget for their company. Is there a conflict of interest, or any other legal reason I couldn't perform this work?
This sounds an awful lot like a homework question, and we don't do homework. However, on the off chance that it is not, you would need to review your contract with the government. It will state what is and is not allowed.
Thanks for the replies. After re-reading my post, I can see how it might look like homework! Simply put, the contractor wants me to stand up a computer network for them. So even though it's not directly related to government work, I can see where it might be interpreted that way.
Not TOUCHING that one...
