What is the name of your state? TN

I think I just messed up. I am the defendent in this case.

My ex is taking me to court for money he says I owe him. I don't owe him but that is another story.

I am representing myself - yes I know that is stupid. BUT...

I have to go to court TOMORROW and I think I really messed up

I FAILED to file a pre-trial brief three days before the actual trial date. I have been told that I really don't need to do that and I will be ok.

I have also been told that I did need to file pre-trial brief three days in advance and I will be held in defualt and I will not be allowed to offer evidence.

Which one is correct???

I think you are going to be ok. However, if you are really worried about it then ask the judge for a continuance so that you can consult an attorney. Then go get yourself a consult with an attorney to find out for sure.
