The grandparents have no legal obligation to support their grandchild - if they refuse to allow the grandchild to live under the same roof as their minor child, there are options; the most obvious of which would be contacting social services.

However, social services would not separate the new mother and her child, so social services would take both of them and place them somewhere together.
