The first few times I was in court and in front of the Judge it was difficult to present my case. I rehearsed it and prepared for it and everything.
The Judge can take control over it, and start asking questions and it can disrupt your whole train of thought.
Try going in and sitting in the Court room and listen to a few cases maybe 1/2 a day , to get use to the way the Court works, and how the Judge runs things.
Not all Judges run the same way. Some will let you present your case without interruption, others will interrupt and ask questions.
Sitting and listening will give you a " feel " for things. I know that doesn't save the Jitters and lost thoughts and a blank spacey feeling not knowing what you said or where you are, but If you don't remember what the Judge said , Just ask him/her to repeat the question please, or ask where was I ?
Then do the best you can , Study the facts, so you can site them is most important.

Not quite what I was asking for, though I do appreciate it. I have tried to do all of those things, and gotten nothing in terms of improvement in my state of mind.

Makes me really worry. Still, I want to believe preparation can eventually pay off.

But I'm asking more in a sense of what I can do to influence them, not myself. That's really where I need advice.

Well, the judge has issued a motion denying my motion to reopen the case. I don't know why, and I doubt he'll say why. Personally, I think the guy is a on a power trip and has little sense of justice in his actions, but I doubt I could prove that in a court of law.

Sent him a bill for my medical expenses, I doubt he'll pay that either.

Anyway, I'm now looking for a local attorney to help me file the appeal, though I may have to branch out a little farther than I'd like just to get one willing to do the job.

Depending on the amount you were suing for , it may not be worth it to pay Attorneys fees .

You should consult with an Attorney for a small fee first .

Be aware of any time limits . The clerks Office should have procedures on how to appeal also .

Oh, it's not about money any more. It stopped being about money when two Sheriff's officers threw me out of a building when I tried to file a complaint about another officer this morning.

Really, I may seem upset, but threatening me is not going to reduce the distress.

And none of my ire is towards the person I'm suing, which is good for her, I suppose.

Why do you believe the judge should pay your medical bill?

Why do I hold the judge accountable for my medical expenses?

Because I was in the courtroom, experiecing an anxiety attack, I requested a few minutes to try to calm down, that was refused, which worsened matters for me, so I had no choice but to request 911 be called. I don't know how else to put it, but the situation could have been self-resolved if my request had been granted, but it wasn't, so I had no other choice.
