The state in which this took place was Arkansas.
My father died almost 17 years ago, I was to inherit his "entire estate" when I turned 21 according to his will. My grandmother was supposed to take care of everything until that time (11 years). At age 18 I received a vehicle for approximately $11,000.00. That is all I receive. I know my father had a life insurance policy for $15,000. Funeral expenses were approx. $3000.00. The will stated that the left over money would be put into a hign interst CD account until I turned 21. A couple years ago I received a notice in the mail that said my property was going to be forclosed on if I didn't pay the taxes. I had no idea the property existed. I've paid the back taxes, however, I can't get my grandmother to give the deed. Can I take my grandmother to court to collect any money or property that I should have received 7 years ago?
