JETX)What is the name of your state? Texas
We live in a small community. Alot of problems exist in the school. The most recent is an incident of a anglo boy (11 yrs old) talking to two 11 year old girls about a girl that is part black and part hispanic. The statement was very ugly and could be considered racial/sexual. One of the girls that they boy was talking to was my daughter. Of course the statement was repeated to the alleged victim and as you know it got bad. My daughter sat down with 2 teachers and the principle and told them that the boy did say this ugly thing. Well, as it turned out like it ALWAYS does the administration stated in a letter to the mother of the "victim" that the boy did not say anything. Would the fact that both his parents are teachers in the same school help make this determination. My daughter was taught to tell the TRUTH. What is the school teaching......."Tell the truth at times, but don't tell the truth with it could possibly mean having to discipline a teachers child for racial/sexual harassment? This behavior is an ongoing problem. The superintendents response to this was, "It is not MY problem." Meaning that it was not the superintendents problem!! (for JETX reply email) It become my business when my daughter is having to hear this at SCHOOL!!

I agree with the school district.... and that it isn't YOUR problem either.

If the 'affected' child or her parents aren't concerned enough to raise an issue (and your post makes no mention that they have), then you have no business getting into what is clearly SOMEONE elses business.

As for your 'concern' that the school may not be acting as YOU see fit.... continue to teach your daughter to tell the truth.... and to realize that she can't force others to comply with her 'wants'.

I changed my message to read that the superintendent said it was not his business! The parent has gone to the school repeatedly, my child was questioned repeatedly and now there is a concern that the boy will continue and target another child. My daughter started at this school the beginning of the school year went for 2 six weeks. She had problems there, it started out with name calling because her skin is light, then it graduated to pushing and slapping. I was at the school numerous time, met with the superintendent and of course nothing was done to correct this. A few apology notes, but that was it. School was a nightmare for my daughter so I withdrew her. She was home schooled for 3 months. She decided to return. It has been OK up until now.

Do not listen to this rumabling idiot....

What you should do is contact the TEA(Texas Education Agency) or you might be able to get your local media station to do a special report on the school.

Yeah, right.
Hell, why not just call the networks... maybe they will do a 20-20 special on this one.
And the TEA has no jurisdiction on a case like this.

Dingleberry is a high school student who, in another post, actually shows everyone that he is an idiot. He does wrong in school, then refuses to accept the consequences, then refuses the repercussions of his actions, and for some reason, claims that the school backed down to his demands. If this happened at all, I guess this new-found 'power' has made him think he is 'king' of something.
Another reason why children should be seen, and not heard.

Thanks to HOMEGURU and KINGKERRY! Also a special thanks to JETX, you have just completely convinced me that there REALLY are people that exist that are nothing but ignorant and use things such as this forum to attempt to make themselves appear intellegent. I have you hand it to you JETX maybe you do have some smarts, you can actually find your way to this forum and type replys, probably with one finger, but you still do it.

Back to the important issue.
I have already contacted the TEA and waiting for a response. Thanks for your support! I believe this is what this forum is all about.

Ahhhhh, the whines and brays of another happy customer.

Oh, and when the TEA comes back and says (with a visibly restrained chuckle), "Okay, that prankster in the office, Bob, put you up to this, right?" and then breaks out laughing..... go ahead and come on back here. We will forgive you.

BTW, my wife is a teacher in Texas, so I am very familiar with the TEA and what their purpose and mandates are!!

Yep, I keep on telling the little woman to just stay on home and watch Oprah (as you apparently do), but she insists on having the opportunity to keep on teaching so that she can "warp the little *******s minds" (as she puts it).

Sure glad we were able to get rid of that old 'ebonics', aren't you???

:D :D

Hey this is getting fun. No I do not stay at home and watch TV. I have a job, self employed. Sounds like your wife is an excellent teacher! She should consider moving to this community she would fit right in. If your last remark was an attempt to gig me, hoping that I am black, well your wrong again.

JETX,

It's people like you who makes me hate the school system. You people think just because their a teacher whatever they say goes. Now, they thought they could get me in trouble by giving me this and that. I fought it and I had to serve nothing. Schools have been becoming opressive and I will fight them. Oh, I have always been against the school. I have observed teachers and see how they respond.

JINX...

I have to jump in here. I really can not believe that you would bring up ebonics to this writer. What's up with that? My thread on this forum was mysteriously closed because someone obviously wanted it to end...wonder who that was and what could the reason have been? You spoke of the 'dumbing down' of our educational system in my thread. Is it just a coincidence that your wife is a Texas educator? Hmmm, maybe if she DID stay home and watch Oprah...

**A: there was no mystery and we wanted you to end, not your thread. So homama, either stop posting or keep on being a ho.
