Public Intoxication?

I was in line at a night club ready to celebrate a friends birthday when i became upset at the doorman for not moving the line along.I gave him a dirty look and when we got to the front he told me to leave.I gave him a piece of my mind and turned to leave when an officer shoved me in the back and cuffed me.When i asked why he had cuffed me he said "public intoxication".Fine,but I hadn't had anything to drink.I was carried off to a detox facility.The whole way thru I tried to prove I was not drunk.I begged for a sobriety test and only was roughed up.I was held overnite then released with a $305 citation.How can I possibly defend myself in court against this without a sobriety test result?I was not made aware of my rights.Not even sure i was arrested or detained.PLEASE HELP!

Isn't everyone entitled to a phone call? No reading of rights? Sounds to me I'd be hightailing my butt to an attorney's office--you just might have a case (not of beer either!)
