I was also being sarcastic in that fact. Sorry. Playing off of the old stereotype of "marry the man, divorce him, and get all his money."

I think I'm going to go back to lurking for awhile longer. This "wit" thing is not coming easily to me. :(

This site is to post questions and get information, not to pass judgement. My intent is not to get married one day and take my husband for everything he has. We have both been married once before and only want to protect ourselves for the future. Us living together without being married is really not the point (as you seem to be so interested in). Getting married and then buying a home will not protect your interest in anything down the road. Trust me, if your marriage does end at some point, all the love you have now turns to pain and bitterness. This will make things very ugly. If a document has been put together as to how the division will take place, there is no question. Everything will fall into place.
