What is the name of your state?ak
on the few occasions that my ex showed up, he often had a hand held recorder. I voiced my objections telling him that as long as he chose to record, I did not have to talk to him. Now I know that most recordings are not admissable, but since I object, can he still do it and try to use them. Not that i ever said anything questionable, it would just be like him to alter them.

If you are in a public place then he can legally record you. You are in public. Anybody can record you. I can sit on my front porch and record everybody that walks by and it would be totally legal.

My bad, I just reread you post.... Is this a hand held VIDEO recorder of a hand held VOICE recorder? He can technically do the Video recorder but the voice recorder wouldn't fly very far in court if in the event that youlive in a state where it is legal to do so.
