Question about which BK to use

What is the name of your state?WA

I hope this is the proper place to ask this question. I have a serveral debts that amount to around 15k. One of them is for 1100 dollars for court fees for a trafic accident I was involved in, that includes fines and restitution.

My question is this, can I file Chapter 7 and discharge all the debts but that court fines? I'm aware that if I do a chapter 13 I can include them, but I was thinking that it was best to just workout a payment settlement with the CA on the court charges and have the rest discharged.

Any advice is welcomed.

$15,000 is not a lot of money to file bankruptcy over. Unless your not working and virtually homeless, why mess up your immediate future? Do go talk to a bankruptcy attorney, most give free consultations. Besides bankruptcy options, they may know of other programs that can help you with your situation.

The court fines probably aren't going to be dischargeable anyway, so do talk to a BK attorney as advised already.
