Florida resident here. I see postings on craigslist asking for nude models. My question is if you send a nude or partially nude image to someone with no guarantee of compensation, is the poster of the craigslist ad liable for anything? The ad mentions compensation to be discussed, but what if the person sends an image before any compensation is promised? Obviously assuming all parties are over 18.

Then that person would be an absolute tool, and will spend years trying to turn back the clock.

The poster cannot be held responsible for the model's idiocy.

This feels like a slimy end-around the rules relating to sharing porn on CL.

It is not smart to respond to ANY Craigslist ad asking for nude models.

If you are interested in nude modeling, and you are not a minor, you can check college or university art schools for jobs posing nude for pay. You are not required to send photos or provide photos. The more "quirks" in your body, the better for sketching.

Respectable (i.e., legal) model agencies will not use Craigslist ads to solicit nude models (or to solicit nude photos of models).

And any ad for nude models that is posted on Craigslist will probably catch, or has already caught, the eye of federal investigators. Federal investigators will NOT assume that all parties are over the age of 18. You do not want to find yourself part of a federal investigation.

One additional word of caution: Once you send out a nude photo of yourself, to anyone, you have lost control of that photo. The photo can appear anywhere at any time and its publication can easily ruin a reputation. There was a thread started a few years ago about a college student who had posed nude for a student "art" magazine - and the publication altered her chances of becoming a teacher.
