Question regarding payment and hiring method

1. Salary is just a means of how you get paid; what's important is whether you are an exempt or non-exempt employee.

2. Why did you agree to work when the terms and compensation issues hadn't been clarified?

1. I don't know if I'm an exempt or non-exempt employee.. I don't know what that means. I make $15/hr work 5 days a week for 8 hours.
2. I'm trying to find a job that pays more than minimum wage. I can't find a job that pays $10/hr or more.. I'm 23 working on my degree still..

Given your salary and job description, I'm thinking it's more likely that you're non-exempt.
