What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I was driving a rental car in sacramento last December and did a right turn on a red light without stopping. I got the ticket in the mail last week for $480 plus points on my record or traffic school, which is too much for me to handle.

I live in Sunnyvale which is 2-3 hours away and I do not think I can go to court twice for this (one to set the date and one to do the trial).

I checked online and found many sites offering representation to get the case dismissed for $100, my question is this legit? has anyone dealt with/recommend any of them? anything I should be concerned about when dealing with them?

please advise

They are not promising to get the ticket dismissed...read the fine print.
