What is the name of your state? Mississippi

Wisdom and advisability of having one aside, is it the law and required that you must have a lawyer before you can sell land in Mississippi even as a private landowner? Can you give me the Mississippi law code on it? I have two judges telling me different stories; one says that lawyers are not legally required, that you can sell your land and make a deed without one. The other says that lawyers are required to file land title deeds and the like. Who is right?

Thank you all, but I found out the answer. Yes, it is advisable to have a lawyer check or do the title and search, but no, it is not required by law in Mississippi.
