On Monday check on the fine and the court date if you want to fight it, in which case you may have to delay your return unless you can get a sooner court date, sometimes they can reduce the fine in court. If you dont clear this up you might never be able to return.

I think this is the best advice for Franzi!!!

Go to the courthouse listed on your citation on Monday and pay the fine, since you are going home it won't matter for insurance and your license will still be good if and or when you return to the USA and you won't have anything lto prevent your rentry which a Failure to Appear could cause, that would stay forever.

MY RESPONSE: No, I'm not "kidding or something". I want the "room" you're taking up. The citizens of this country - - the one's who were BORN here - - want the "room you're taking up". We don't want "how much room" being dictated to us by some foreigner who doesn't have a "stake" in this country.
