Here's an odd question. I went to court to fight a red light camera ticket. I think there may have been around 15 of us there for the same offense. All but 3 of us who plead not guilty had the charges dismissed because the officer said he could not identify us from the picture. My picture was very clear, but I'm no fool, I didn't argue about it. I thanked the judge and took the dismissal :ROFLMAO: I was prepared to defend myself with pictures that showed the pavement markings that defined the intersection were missing the day of the citation (WAIT HERE and KEEP CLEAR), and brand new huge pavement markings were put back after I received the citation. I was disappointed that I didn't get to present my evidence, but like I said, I just kept my mouth shut  So I was wondering if it was possible that the officer noticed the missing markings before going into court and just used the unidentifiable picture as a catch all excuse for all of us that had the charges dismissed.

There is no way we can tell you what an unknown officer in an unknown state was thinking.

Yes. It is possible.

Congratulations on having your ticket dismissed.

No one here (or anywhere else) can intelligently tell you that it's not possible.

It's possible. It's not a guarantee, but it's possible.

It's also possible that it was something else.

Why does it matter?

J. Smith could always ask the officer why he couldn’t identify Smith from the very clear photo, if he really wants an answer to the question posed here. ;)
