question is how do i go about getting my child support reduced? i currently am behind and my income is cut in half compared to when we settled. thank you

Just like myself, the court is also going to ask you what are the circumstances that are keeping you from working at a higher paying job? It has better be some form of mental, emotional, or physical disability - - otherwise, the judge is going to look at you with those "steely" eyes - - and then deny your Petition.

Then, the judge is going to find you in "contempt of court" and make you a "guest" of the county for about a week, with new orders that all arrears be converted to a judgment, allowing your wife to go after your wages, bank account, vehicles, or anything else of value.

I would suggest that you get yourself a new, higher paying job, and voluntarily pay extra to get those arrears cleared up - - REAL QUICK before she has your buns hauled back into court.
