Registration of of Custody/visitation Order means , A certified copy of the Order from where is was Signed , is registered in another Jurisdiction, usually another State's local court .

Domestication means basically the same as transferring the Judgment when the Original State no longer has Jurisdiction on the matter .

reply to your answer and a question to go with it

we are moving out of state and we have custody of their children i was wondering if that means then that we can't leave state with them in the original papers it doesn't say he can't take them out of state. he was granted the care, custody and control of the children

she has weekend visitation rights but it doesn't say he can't leave the state he left south carolina where the divorce and custody was drawn up and and went to court and he has the custody papers he lost his job recently and we now have to move cuz we can't afford to live here and can't find a job here so we area moving to maine to live with his father and planned on taking the children with us. that's when she went toa lawyer and he drew up papers. we got them in the mail today. the 1st paper says it's a registration of judgment and the 2nd paper says it's a domestication of judgment. so is that saying we can't leave state with them.

Your post is confusing a bit. You are typing with no sentences ,and no sequence of events.

Has there been a modification of Custody/visitation since the divorce order ?

Does the mother still live in the original State that the Ordes were made ?

What state were the Last Orders signed, and entered into record ?

There have not been any modifications since the divorce order. The mother recently moved to illinois in january or february of this year. The state the last orders were signed in was south carolina.
