its all about agreements

A security interest is a property interest created by agreement or by operation of law over assets to secure the performance of an obligation, usually the payment of a debt. It gives the beneficiary of the security interest...

like a promiss to appear agreement or pay money to the court?

there was no agreement. The ticket is a charging instrument charging the OP with breaking the law. It had nothing to do with performance of an obligation in terms the UCC deals with. It is more akin to criminal law than civil law.

. I do not believe there is any requirement one signs a promise to appear on a NY parking ticket. What there is is a demand by the courts to attend to the matter or face other penalties.

yep and a ticket does not have a monetary value. A bond is a financial instrument as it has monetary value. A ticket does not involve a monetary transaction.

you go ahead and live by that. Let us know what jail you end up in for failure to appear so we can walk by and laugh.
