there was no agreement. The ticket is a charging instrument charging the OP with breaking the law. It had nothing to do with performance of an obligation in terms the UCC deals with. It is more akin to criminal law than civil law.
. I do not believe there is any requirement one signs a promise to appear on a NY parking ticket. What there is is a demand by the courts to attend to the matter or face other penalties.
