If they said they will not charge you for it I wouldn't worry about it. If they change their mind, they will contact you about it first anyway. You don't need to call your insurance at this time.

He also said to bring the car at just over half full tank. I drove like 30 Miles so the arrow hardly changed. I did not fill up the tank due to lack of time. He never charged me for gas either. I wonder if they will charge me for gas?

Only time will tell.

How will I know? Call? Letter in mail? Charged on my credit card? What else?

How will you know? Possibly a call. Possibly a letter in the mail. Possibly a charge to your credit card. What else? Well, although extremely unlikely given the circumstances described, possibly a knock on your door by the police or possibly your house surrounded by a SWAT team until you come out with your hands up, clutching the $6 or so owed for gas.

Are you all right, AdviceFreeUser? You seem to be worried about an awful lot of things that most people don't concern themselves with all that much.

Yes, like grocery store receipts.

I think it's time to move on and leave AdviceFreeUser to his own devices. This thread in particular is getting a bit silly.

Not "this thread in particular." All of AdviceFreeUser's threads tend to end up this way.

The receipt did not charge me for Gas. Should I call Enterprise or do not call?

Your agreement with Enterprise apparently stated that you needed to return the car with just over a half tank of gas. You said you returned the car with just over a half tank of gas. You met the terms of the agreement you had with Enterprise, this even if you used a little bit of gas to drive 30 miles.

Enterprise was not concerned enough to charge you for the gas so you should not be concerned about it.

That said, if this is one of those worries that is going to overwhelm you and you think you will not be able to function unless you pay for what you used, then you can mail Enterprise a check for an amount covering the 2 gallons of gas you might have used (What is gas out your way? Three bucks or so a gallon?) and you can enclose a short note saying that you drove 30 miles and failed to replace the gas you used. I am sure Enterprise will be surprised and puzzled but, if it lets you sleep at night, just do it.

Good luck to you, AdviceFreeUser.

The gas meter arrow barely moved. It is hard to tell. The employee did not charge me for Gas, why? I drove about 30 miles though. Maybe he forgot to charge me? Will they charge me in the future for this transaction? Should I call them? I am worried. It is about $3.25 but on the Enterprise form when he showed me the paper, it had $5.20 a gallon rate. This is before I drove the car.

You don't need to worry about paying for the gas. Depending on the vehicle you rented you may not have even used 1 gallon of gasoline.

Avoid watching Monk reruns on TV.
