indiana, can the cp ask the courts to request the ncp to have a childs own bedroom?child is now 4.would like to even ask the ncp to have his own residence? haha. every since the divorce, last 3 half years, the ncp has moved in with so many different people so many times i've lost count, this past year ncp moved out of state at that and this time i'm dealing with child going out of state to who knows where and now the ncp is moving back to childs state so im sure we'll end up in court again on visits,so can i ask that the child to have own bedroom? or ask no overnite visits?, or least to worded [till] he has his own residence?im worried of [again] who's home or who's couch the child is sleeping on or around the child during bedtime.

if you can prove that the ncp is changing residence regular and is not providing a stable home environment, you can request no over night visitations.

you can also request that the ncp not have "live-ins" and that there not be any over night guests during the time the child is staying there. (of course, this would also be applied to you)

at the age of 4 - the child's own bedroom. are there other children involved or is the child sleeping with the adults. the child should be provide his or her own room or sharing a room with a sibling of the same sex / age (not necessarily age considered). you can request this and it is almost a given that the child will be provide this. but - it has also been established that as long as the child is provided with an area to sleep that is clean, it can be anything. a pallet on the floor, the couch, sleeping bag, almost anything. it would depend on the judge.

you can request anything - but you would have to be able to prove to the judge that the above is affecting the child. and pulling people in and out of the child's life and not having a secure home environment for the child DOES affect the child.

good luck!
