was adoptedby step mom at 15 in ohio. middle name was changed. my father wouldnt allow my real mother to have any contact with me. she ws sent papers stating that even if she fought the adoption it would still go through. at the time she was living in louisianna and didnt have the money to fight it. i had been under the impression that my real mom didnt want anything to do with me because my father would not except phone calls from her and would change the name on presents and return any mail from her. i was basically snow balled into the adoption. i have recently met my real mom after 18 years and ave seen the legal papers and proof of my fathers and adopted mothers wrongful doings. what i would like to know is can i have my real mom put back on my birth certificat and can i restore my god given name? the adoption took place in bowling green ohio but i now live in michigan. any information would be truly helpful. thank you!

If you are an adult, you can change your name at any time. I do not know the process of it, but I know it can be done.

Good luck!
