My Son was placed into a group home facility August of 2005. The group home enrolled him into HS as a Junior and put him into the appropriate classes for that grade level. However, he had not passed his previous yr in HS. He SHOULD have been placed back into the necessary classes to repeat them. A copy of his 2004 -2005 Transcript was faxed to Office of Yout Development. Once they had the copy of the transcript is was physically altered to reflect that he had "PASSED" the classes he had failed. OYD then faxed the copy to the New school and the Group home then enrolled him into the classes for 2005-2006. He failed this last yr again because he was NOT prepared to take the classes they had enrolled him into due to the altered transcript. I have copies of both, the one altered had been altered by writing over the old grades with an ink pen, it is real obvious that it was altered. I worked hard and have my son back home and have him enrolled into the correct classes. OYD and also the group home were notified that the classes he was enrolled in were over his capability since he had failed the pre-requisite for those classes the previous yr.. (EX, English III, Algebra II, Chemistry), I was told that I had no SAY when he was enrolled and that is the classes he was Going to take...PERIOD. This basically set him up to FAIL, which he did, and lost one whole year of education in school. I dont know if anything can be done legally to make them be held resposible for thier action and non-concern whether he passed or failed. My question is "WHO do I contact to see if anything civil can be done or WHO do I contact to let the POWERS that control these 2 agencies know what is going on so that NO-ONE else gets put into a cycle for continued failure."
