Sorry to offend you....but the comments you are quoting were for paradise. At the head of my post I indicated "to paradise". I was very satisfied with your response and thank you very much for your reply. You have been the most help. Sorry once again, if you thought the comments where directed at you.

On the other foot, however, paradise clearly states in an earlier post that money is quite the accomplishment and implies happiness because of money, and is so young and has not learned yet that the important things in life are not money, power, medical care but the love of family and friends and faith. As we lay in our deathbed will be reflect on how much money we got to claim on our income tax return or those who loved us and we loved?

handy yes...but those diaper days are over and not a thought crosses my mind or that of my children with concerns over struggling to buy diapers. And the restitution...yes, I committed a crime and I owe restitution. But if I had to serve a year in jail for my poverty I would, because it is not a sin to be poor or have a lot of children. Money does not create my happiness, my family, Jesus and life is good when you got those two things on your side.

I posted originally to gain some knowlege of what to expect in court. Like my name says, I'm poor and scared! I'm not looking for forgiveness or understanding just...like the website is called FREE ADVICE!

You will not be going to jail because of poverty, you will be going to jail because of stupidity. You could have been working full time and going to school part time.

I paid every cent of my college tuition with the exception of scholarships, which I earned. I also made a decent life for my kids in the process. College is not some kind of right that you have, it is something that has to be worked towards and earned. I have worked very hard at self-sufficiency, so I have zero sympathy for a fool who cannot even attempt the same. I am in no way ashamed of being able to give my children nice things, I have worked hard so they could have an easier life.

I've always wanted to go to college, I worked from the time I was 16 until I lost my job at 37. I choose to pursue happiness and so long as it is legal, I choose the pursuit of happiness even if it makes all you employed people angry and sickened. You also have a right to the pursuit of happiness however you may choose! It's great to be American!

Exactly stealth. As a hard working citizen I'm sick and tired of paying for the stupidity and lack of planning that so many people have. There is NO right to go to college. Anyone can do it if they are willing to work for it, but no one is guaranteed to make it, much less have their efforts paid by those of us who know the value of working hard.

You were told what to expect. You can expect no sympathy for you stupidity. It is quite likely that the judge you will be facing has had to pay for much of his/her own education as well. What makes you think people are going to be impressed with your pathetic welfare excuses?

I would not be completely honest if I didn't add this confession. I am not proud of my actions on the night of the crime but if truth be told, bashing into that gfirls car and totalling it in 2 seconds time is worth 3 years of poverty and a possible jail sentence. The truth isn't always pretty!
