NY,
I got a bill for $524, for my car repair. The Mechanic has charged me Labor and New Parts. He has charged me almost double the price for the parts that he got from the same vendor from where I got a quotation for the same parts on the same day and it is a big chain or stores.
He has charged me around $150 more in parts and when I asked, he sent me a quotation (not invoice) showing the list price of those parts from the vendor which is little higher then the price he charged me for the parts.
The mechanic, is getting parts much cheaper and telling me that he is giving me the parts on his cost (not making money)
I have a quotation that I got on my own from the same parts shop for $150 less price, I have a quotation that I got from the mechanic for the money he charged to me and, I got the bill that I paid to the mechanic but when i realized that he ripped me off, I stopped payment.
Tell me what are my options to resolve the issue and get my overcharged money back.
