pa - my ex husband is a car mechanic working under the table. he replaced my transmission and charged me for it and i also paid for several other jobs he told me he did including replacing the wheel bearings on both front tires. my car was in a small accident and i found out that one tire did not have the wheel bearings replaced and he charged me for that. Also he gave me my car back with the gas gauge broke, it worked before. this was fraud and he broke my gas gauge. he refused to fix the gas gauge he says he didn't do it. i paid him cash so i have nothing to prove i paid him, only my kids and my mother who know. is there anything i could to to get my money back and my gas gauge fixed?

your ex is working illegally and you were complicit with this knowing the truth yet you want the legal system to help you recover money.

Not going to happen. Clean hands are necessary when asking the court to help you.
