Bought a used car from a dealer 9 years ago. Same story from the dealer, no wrecks etc... I am trading the car in for a new car and my old car comes up with a salvaged title through their carfax. My title from the state does not show salvaged. Now I know why this car was the money pit.

This car is basically worthless. The dealer will not take this car as a trade in. Can I go back to this old dealership after 9 years and recoup any money?

Thanks

Yes, you can, but at this point this case would be so complicated that it probably isn't worth your time and money. How much did the car originally cost from the dealer 9 years ago?

I couldn't find any statute of limitations on this for Georgia. You may be able to get a portion of your money back. To start with, the difference in value between the vehicle as represented and as a salvage vehicle.

But to get anything, you'll have to prove that the dealer knew it was a salvage vehicle.
