Invent tech's not worth it

What is the name of your state? Mississippi

I have a simple invention, I have sent info to Invent Tech and Inventors helpline. They both claim they are extrememly excited about my project and want to get started right away. They state it remains confidential, both offer alot of services. Now people are telling me these company's will rip me off. Company's are requesting $675-875.00 to start process: Portfolio's, Graphic Illustrators, Patent Attorney, researching and marketing product, trade shows etc, they sound legit.

One offers patent, the other doesn't. My product is so simple I don't think I need a patent. The company states they will register and get certification from patent company that claims me as owner...that patent not neccessary or protection due to fact that anyone can make a few changes (12%) and then patent wpouldn't cover it.

I am leaning toward Invent Tech. Help me decide!! PLease!! Are these scamming company's or can they really help me!!

Do not trust those Invent tech guys, they start by saying outright, "don't let the SCARE TACTICS fool you", now if they were legit, they'd just prove they're OK, not badmouth their opponent's reputation.

They send you a fancy Certificate-In Cheapo paper, and the certificate's seal is PRINTED, not a real one!

Add two and two, and Google "invent tech scam". You'll see I'm right!

This thread is 2 years old...I really doubt the OP will be back!!

Please don't post to threads that are old.

ANYTIME you are approached by anyone regarding an invention, investment, etc suggest you:

1. Purchase an background check for each person.

2. Check the county clerk and court records where they reside to see if they have any legal RED FLAGS.

3. Google <individual name CEASE DESIST FINE COURT> or any other term that might be appropriate.

4. Check the VRI Forum to see if the individual's name is mentioned.
