scjc0401 -- Picking up the child

What is the name of your state? TX

In TX, the standard possession order allows both parties to assign a competent adult to pick up the child at the beginning of a period of possession. If grandma is "comptent", that should include her.

If this language is not part of your current order, it would almost certainly be added if a modification was sought. Good luck.

Indeed it does. I personally have a standard order of possession and it very clearly states that under General Terms and Conditions:

Either parent may designate ANY competent adult to pick up and return the child, as applicable. A parent or a designated competent adult shall be present when the child is picked up or returned.

A parent shall give notice to the person in possession of the child on each occasion that the parent will be unable to exercise that parent's right of possession for any specified period. Repeated failure of a parent to give notice of an inability to exercise possessory rights may be considered as a factor in a modification of those possessory rights.

Again, this is only applicable if you have a standard order of possession.

Oh yeah, by the way, I did not mention that I am also from TX. Just trying to clear up any possible confusion.
