What is the name of your state? California. I was wondering if any one knows how many days the prison board has to see you? I heard it was 35 but my husband has been in now 40 and they haven't seen him yet. And also time California is giving on abscounding, its his only charge, when he went in they offered 8 months and he turned it down? any info would be great thank you.

I was also told it was 35 but can go up to as much as 60 days before they see you. Also when he goes up against the board I BELIEVE that the max they can give you for a parole violation is a year. Hope this helps, hang tight.

After July 1st (I believe) the state has 30 days to set a violator before a Parole Hearing. Until then, they have to TRY for 30 days but aren't necessarily going to be held to it.

He may be held up to a year for the violation. But, if he has failed to comply with terms of parole there is always the possibility that he can be returned to complete his sentence. If a parolee demonstrates he is not a good candidate for parole, then he can be sent back.

The best bet might be to consult an attorney.

Much more informative carl. Also sometimes I believe parolees are assigned an attorney correct?
I THINK that the state will be required to assign them representation at a hearing if they cannot afford one, but I'm not positive on that.

I have something on all this here at the office somewhere, but since I don't usually deal with parole issues I'm not as up to speed on it as I could be.
