What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York (NYC)

I was pulled over for crossing over two lanes of traffic on a highway (Henry Hudson). After being pulled over, I took off my seatbelt to get my license. The officer ended up only giving me a ticket for my seatbelt, which I actually had on while driving. If I plead not guilty and go to court, it will be his word against mine.

1. What is the likelihood that I win?

2. Can I potentially get a new ticket for crossing over two lanes while in court?

Thanks for the help,
Andy

Gee, you think so?

If it was a Highway Patrol officer who wrote you - zero.

2. Can I potentially get a new ticket for crossing over two lanes while in court?

Absolutely.

Or the officer can just ask to amend the charge to what you really did and then you'll end up with a higher fine and points.

It always amazes me how some people get big breaks and look to fight a charge when they admit they were wrong.
