What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Va

I moved out of my house in June 2010, the last day of my lease was July31, 2010. I moved out early because I had no one to help except for the weekend I moved so I moved out a month early ut still paid the rent on time for July. I notified my landlord that I had moved out early so we could do a walk through on the house. And got no response. I returned the keys to the house and still no communication until one Sunday they had a prospective renter and called me to see if the house was decent to go and look at.
I told them it was because I had move out 4 weeks before.
They said the house was not in shape to go look at and they lost a prospective renter because of this.
I asked them to send me a list of what was wrong (because as far as was concerned the house was in better shape than when I moved in)

The LL then e-mailed me asking if I had a copy of my move-in report because they couldn't find there and would I send her the copy. I asked her what was wrong with the house and she said nothing was wrong never mind they would send me a copy of the move-out report and what if anything was left of my security deposit.

That was was 3 weeks ago. i have called and left VM and e-mails and have gotten no response. They have my forwarding address and have received nothing. The house is back up for rent so I am assuming the move-out was done. What is my next step if anything?

Certify a demand for the list of damages and or the return of your security deposit. in 5 business days.

5 business days after the reciept of the letters delivery, sue the LL in civil court for all of the security.

So I blocked my number and LL fianlly answered my call. She said she didn't ahve a list of what was going. That the owner of the house was the one holding the SC and he was waiting on invoices to mail to me and that there were serveral things wrong with the house but she didn't have list in front of her so she didn't want to commit to saying anything specific, but she would let the owner know he needed to move things along
