Texas I was convicted in 1987 for a low class feloney I was released after three 8 months now almost 20 Years later I have been a single father of a disabled child taken good care of him good father and parent obtain a college degree going back for anoth a psy degree I lost a job just recently due to the fact that I refused to list a 18 Year old conviction on my employment application. The Job took very good care of my faimly worked 12 days 5 days a week ect in a call center filling prescriptions. I just lost the Job Becase of this the Employer was required to runa Criminal check beofre Hire and Did I was hired and worked three months at 2500.00 a month Took care of mu family was top in the Center received two awards then one day a Sup waleked up to me and terminated me walked me out witha brown box never in my life was i so ever embarsed this was a temp agency there were not condition or cluases in the Empyment contact that stated you can not work for us if you have a Conviction nore are there any state of federal law that prohibit this I have been a hard working father single father and have been a productive member in socierty I keep getting more education and degrees and keep gettin screwed from employers as a result of a 18 Year old Cinvistion what can i do my Immidate Sup was floored when the Temp agency termed me and everybody there say that was wrong I was a Excellent Employee and did my job to the letter they stated it had nothing to do with performace it had to do with not disclosing the Conviction of 18 Years ago when I asked for a copy of the Contract they refused I also was called by a senator in Ill and the Attorny General in ILL regaring Invesgations going on against the Company i worked for and they want me to Testy againt the Comapny Is there a way to get the job back due to Discrimination adn how do i request a Pardon in Texas

what was your conviction for? what's the discrimination? you didn't put down the conviction when asked on the job application, right? Lying on a job application and getting fired for it is not any type of legal discrimination.

apply for another job and don't forget to list the conviction. most employers are not going to be so concerned about a 20 year old low class felony.

My advice is "Don't Drink and Write". College educated? I doubt it. There is not one sentence in your post that is above 3rd grade level. I'll hire you to mow my lawn if you need the work.
