I am so glad my ex is an idiot it makes handling him and dumbo girlfriend easy in comparision to managing my hubby's ex and him.

I really just want this to stay even keel. It rocks the whole house with all the kids inner mixed when things are heightened.

Braces -- Have they had orthodontic consult? How old is the child? Do they have all their permanent teeth?

Also, "shearly" is spelled "sheerly". :p

Not everything in your proposal NEEDS to be agreed to so if Mom doesn't agree, Dad can't therefore expect to go to court and WIN on those points ie. in addition to the pictures of the home (are you kidding me?!? lol) the life insurance is not going to be required.

Ok can we stop with the spelling bee quiz---- it was funny for a while...

3 consults, three quotes, 13 years old, permanents are gone.

I agree with the house I told him that was out of line---since I have to type it that will be conviently dropped so he does not look like a hinnie hole

The life insurance thing- funny you should say that, that was actually brought up by my ex in his court doc's and added to my order by the judge as being required by both he and I. That was fine with me as I carry 6 x my pay in life insurance anyway, he purchased his out right.

This is the same judge that will reside over this case so he may actually have a very good chance at that.

It is a smart move on any parents part and should be a requirement in any case.

I have seen some courts order it due to the fact that it is for the child's support if something happens to the parent.

I understand WHY the requirement was there, tried to put it into mine, as well, but judge refused to order it when Dad didn't agree. And, you're getting a little testy for someone that ASKED for help.

She will not agree to the braces on that kids teeth first and foremost sad part is SHE (his ex) would be stunning had someone put braces on her teeth.

I'm going to hit on the topics of braces and non medication for ear infections.

If the braces are not a medical necessity, but only for cosmetic reasons, then I don't necessarily agree that Mom should be forced to comply with Dad's wishes. I fully understand the emotional impact corrective orthodontia can have on a person, as my 13 year old started her ortho plan when she was 9. However, she would not have started that young if there had not been underlying medical reasons that we (parents, orthodontist, and pediatrician) felt made it necessary to correct at that time.

Not treating ear infections with antibiotics:

In recent years, it has been determined that treating every ear infection with antibiotics is unnecessary and may cause more problems and more severe ear infections due to the bacteria developing resistance, thus leading to longer courses of antibiotics with stronger medications, more incidents of placement of tubes, and an increases risk of permanent hearing damage.

Not ALL cases of ear infections should be ignored, but at the same time, it has been found that ear infections are widely over medicated. So, without knowing the medical history of the child (and there are times that the EI should definitely be treated), I have to say that I don't necessarily have a problem with Mom refusing medication for ear infections. Each of my children have had more than one ear infection. Very rarely has medication been prescribed. Now, of course, when the EI accompanies another infection (sinus infection, strep throat, flu) it has been treated, but usually by a broad spectrum antibiotic that is prescribed for the underlying condition. As Mom is a nurse, I am sure she is probably well aware of the current stance on treating ear infections.

The rest of the time, comfort measures have been taken and the EI clears up on its own within the week.

To clarify the braces, the childs teeth like her mothers has a bite that is off and will have an impact down the road.

There is also a stacking of teeth one on top of the other. Her mother is now in the process of getting her overlapping teeth pulled as they are causing issues in her own mouth with crowding and cavities. So yes they are medically necc..

Let me clarify ear infections-this is an EXAMPLE

I have had 7 sets of tubes myself and my kids have had two sets. I know the research associated with them

So let me provide a different example of lack of medical treatment only for reasons of you guys having a better understanding.

3 year old child falls hurts arm, arm swells like a balloon. 24 hours later said Child is sent to school, school nurse calls Mom child in unbelievable pain, arm is obviously broke. Mom tells her she does not have time to take the child to the hospital her arm is fine that child needs to tough it out.

School nurse having dealt with Mother prior hangs up and calls Dad who goes and takes child to hospital.

This list goes on but this is not a Mom bashing session this is a help make things reasonable so two kids don't get ripped apart with Custodial moving out of state. And that Dad gets to keep some type of relationship with his kids.

I hope this clarifies.

He is asking for his proposal, he told her he would like to submit what his ideas are to her as well for review. She said that was fine, then told a friend, "he will get what I give him" as if its a gift soooo

Honestly, if Mom is that negligent, then Dad should be going for custody and the nurse should have called CPS to report that Mother was purposely denying her child urgent medical care.
