What I got from perusing that forum was that they call pretty much all women "nut jobs", they give pretty good advice about children, but they are the most anti co-parenting bunch I have ever seen. In fact, they seem to consider any attempt at reasonable co-parenting to be "controlling".

Co-parenting does require cooperation from both parents. Just as here, one can only go by what the poster says wrt the other parent. Parallel parenting is more realistic.

I can see your point when standard visitation is involved, but for any children with anything close to a 50/50 schedule parallel parenting would be horrible for them.

And a lot of these guys really don't have 50-50, despite how they try to spin it.

There's also plenty of men who post who "want 50/50 custody" but don't seem to grok what doing half of the parenting actually entails, and won't believe the truth that paying child support is nearly always less expensive than being the custodial parent.

Not just on that board, either. I participate in a number of subreddits involving legal issues and divorce/custody matters, and it's pretty galling how many men assume women should do the bulk of the childcare when in a relationship, but upon a breakup suddenly think they have been an equal contributor.

So their anti-feminism is kind of counterproductive.

This is the only site I can tolerate. I have zero patience for angry/whiny/ranty stuff.

Nothing against DownTheStreet: I don't have the time (or patience!) to double my "efforts."

LOL Ever read the invective spewed over at steptalk?

As for the NJ designation? Meh. Big deal. We've all called our exes as bad or worse.

My point is that we don't do that here, and we don't encourage it, and we don't have a site-specific derogatory code word for an entire gender. They do = They suck. I find it simple and easy to shun them and their stupidity.

Your choice. But we actually do have our own invectives. Well, some of us do. Not gender-specific, perhaps, but at least as nasty.
