Here is some advice

Tell her to move on. If she is not getting or has not been getting anything why is she pursuing it now? This is a waste of time for you and her. Continue raising your children b/c it is obvious he is not going to.

You are a parent, stop talking/writing like a teenager on a high. You can express yourself without cussing in every sentence. Be a role model.

You know what you are right..... but they should really ban people like the ones from earlier, the way they bash on others is really pathetic! I think that this place is for people helping others, not being bashing one another.... so you should really read all the above before telling me how to talk! get a grip and leave me alone, I've got all the advice from here that I DON'T need!

I am doing just that... I have told her that it is a waste of time, I personally am not going to spend my time or money to hire a lawyer to go after him knowing he is not going to pay his child support. In her case her daughter knows her father and sees him when he wants to impress a new girlfriend, and show her off, my case he doesn't see our child and I am glad. My daughter deserves better then that, any child does!! I would rather him never come around then her having a part time father that doesn't give a ratts butt. I know he doesn't care, and being in and out of her life, that would just hurt her in the long run, and I am not going put her through that. So thanks for replying!

OK, so legally speaking, your support order is figured on his income AFTER the other FOUR support orders. That is why your order is only for $127/month. Legally, the courts can only garnish 50% of his paycheck for all obligations. Honesly, I'm surprised your order is that high with four other orders. That is also why he's not paying you or anyone else and he likely never will.

And it gets better. If he gets incarcerated, some states (not sure about yours) will let him stop accruing support while he's incarcerated. So he get's three hots and a cot and doesn't accrue support.

And to top it all off, when he decides he wants visitation he can file for it and unless he's a proven danger to the child, he'll get it. He doesn't have to pay support to see any of his kids, he is their father.

So legally, you can fight for the money or you can decide to move on with your life and forget about it. Maybe years from now you'll get a huge check and wonder where it's from, then you'll remember.

Yes like I stated before, I am doing just that! I am moving on..... don't worry I won't post anymore posts about my deadbeat ex!!!!!!! as far as you talking about the laws on visitation ect, ect, it is different in every state, I am already looked into the WHOLE visitation and him not paying child support, yes I know that CAN happen BUT, in my exs' case he is an idiot if you remember me telling everyone that, and he doesn't even want to pay the money to go file for visitation. Shoot it only cost $20.00 to file for visitation, and he can't even do that. The jail thing, he was in jail back in July I think it was, and he was in there for almost 1 1/2 and he DID have back child support for that month owed, they don't care if you are in jail or not, you will still owe once you come out! I know here where I live the judge likes deadbeats I am guessing, because he doesn't do squat to them! oh well, his loss the way I look at it, seeing my baby girl every day is worth more then a stupid child support check. anyways, like I said, laws are different in every state. oh by the way, he has to pay a lousy $127.00 a month because he is screwing the system and he told them he is unemployed, so they based his wages off MW. He owes approx. $375.00 a month on one child, another approx. $375.00 on another, $100.00 on another and then the $127.00 a month on our child. His child support are the same and higher on two of the children because they are in another state and unike the state I live in, Texas don't mess around. They don't care if you work or not, you are going to be ordered to pay at least $250.00
At least that's how it was when he was ordered that much.

WOW!!!! From what I see everyone is attacking Patty simply for asking advice... It's a shame. Its obvious the girl made some bad decissions. But havent we all? In fact if NONE of you did one way or another, why the hell are you on this site???? Wether it was simply a bad judgement call or you just really screwed up!!! For god sake leave the women alone...
