I understand that and that needs to be obeyed.

I was replying to another poster that said, "Does she REALLY need to run a gauntlet of FOUR people every time she is picked up or dropped off?"

Dad's hands are tied, but NEITHER parent needs to be showing their faces to each other and for Mom's part, if she were to have another adult show her daughter out, that's hardly a gauntlet or confusing for the child.

It seems like the child's being used a little like a pawn to tweak each other off.
Let the kid go in/out of doors on her own. @@

MY point was that the mother passes the child to the aunt, the aunt then passes to the step mom who then passes to the father. I didnt mean thats what was happening. I meant that if dad had his way...thats what WOULD happen and thats crazy to put a child through that. I see no problem with the mother having the aunt take the child to the door. I DO have a problem with dad wanting step mom to then do pick ups just out of spite. Its just a whole lot of nonesense that a 6 year old doesnt need to be subjected to. Its a mental GAME and even a 6 year old can pick up on that and be affected by it.

Dad CAN'T have stepmom do p/u's, but if he got CO changed, I don't see it the way you do. I have picked up my husband's children a few times and I don't see how they would be confused being picked up by me and taking them to their Dad's house. Who cares who opens the door for the child, quite frankly if there's that much animosity, they should stay BEHIND the door anyway. All goodbyes can be said before door to home is opened on way out or door to car on way back. It's not that hard but Dad does have to follow the CO since he's restricted, but if Mom isn't restricted, she's not and he shouldn't manufacture restrictions b/c he has ultra sensitive feelings.
