What is the name of your state?RI

Pulling out of a parking spot at the bank yesterday I hit another (parked, no one inside) car. Went inside, figured out whose vehicle it was, called the police and insurance, all of that. My head light is cracked, the right rear of her car (by the bumper) is a little dented; scraped up but no serious damage. I don't know anything about how this sort of thing works, and am waiting for my insurance to call me back, so my questions...

1. I did not recieve a ticket, will I recieve one at a later date?
2. The damage to her car is anywhere between 5-800.00, is that how much my insurance will go up for the year?
3. This is probably a no, but humor me- will my insurance cover the cost of my headlight? I wouldn't even ask that but I've got an old VW Scirrocco and the parts for the car are expensive .

"1. I did not recieve a ticket, will I recieve one at a later date?"
*** Based on your post, very unlikely.

"2. The damage to her car is anywhere between 5-800.00, is that how much my insurance will go up for the year?"
*** No. Whether your insurance rates will be affected will largely depend on the number and value of claims that you have had in the past three years or so. If this is the only claim, your insurance probably will not change at all.

"3. This is probably a no, but humor me- will my insurance cover the cost of my headlight? I wouldn't even ask that but I've got an old VW Scirrocco and the parts for the car are expensive."
*** Your insurance should cover the cost of damage to your vehicle, if any, that exceed your deductible.

Thanks, JetX. It is a relief to know my insurance probably won't change. Apparantly this isn't really a big deal at all.

Thanks again.
