What is the name of your state? New Jersey

This is just for my knowledge at this point, but I have two copies of my credit report. For a credit card debt, I have multiple dates. I'm trying to figure out what date is used for SOL's.

According to Transunion, this credit card account was opened 1/2000. It was closed on 11/2001. It was updated on my credit report on 3/2003 stating "Status as of 03/2003: Charged off as bad debt." The law office doing collections right now isn't listed on my credit report at all.

Any ideas which date would be used?

I don't know. They closed it in 11/2001 because I hadn't been paying on it. I'd assume I defaulted BEFORE that date.

However when they first claimed to be filing a judgement against me, they thought I was living in North Carolina. If they are filing a judgement against me there, the SOL has expired based on the 11/01 date. I guess we'll see what happens.
