Sole Legal Custody-Missouri

Because mom is on a mission to doing everything possible to keep him out of the kid's lives. She would take something like this and stretch the meaning out of control even trying to keep him from having any access to their records. (Even though legally she wouldn't) She thinks she is above the law and that he has no rights to his own children. Her winning this would reinforce all that in her mind and degrade the situation further.

We offering the ultimate compromise. They have joint legal custody and in the event of a disagreement the parent that has the children under their care at the time shall have the ultimate decision making.

She's the type of person that would refuse to let the kids be enrolled in an activity while they were with us just to spite him because she had "legal custody." We're trying to avoid that type of confllict.
