I got a speeding ticket for 10 over. I was
really going 15 mph over. I will now have
5 points on my record if i dont fight this
ticket. I can barely afford my insurance right now. If my insurance goes up another
200 dollars. I wont be able to afford it.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

so fight the ticket or go to traffic school and pay the fine. The ticket and points then will not show up on your dmv record. If you fight it, ask the court to see the calibration record. It may be dismissed if a) officer doesn't show up or b) can't produce the record.

By the way, try to schedule your court date around the officer's off days. Contact the department and give his badge number, and ask for his days off.
