Not really. Once you go more than 65 you might as well go 99 as far as Califronication law is concerned. It makes only a slight difference in the fine.
You can't use the speed trap law here and "everybody else was speeding" isn't a defense.

Ok. So that's it? I mean anyone who gets a ticket under 22349(a) on a highway gets to hire an attorney or depend on luck :)? Do you think of any Laws / points I can use in my defense? Any point that I can use to support my situation I was in at that time in the middle of speeding traffic, etc?

Would really appreciate if I can get anything from you based on your experience?

You can appear in court and hope the officer fails to appear. But, going the speed of traffic is NOT a defense. Neither is going downhill.

What speed did he clock you going? If he clocked you at 80, then you are in the lowest fine tier: about $238, but if 81 or a little higher, then it's about $367. It makes a difference.
