What is the name of your state? Illinois

My ex voluntarily quit his job here and has moved out of state ( at which time he was in arrears over $4,000.00. ( He had told his employer to stop taking payments from his check, he would pay himself . I told him he needed to notify the courts and that I was not in agreement with that arrangement.)

He is gainfully employed full time with a Major company...I have requested that he resumed payments and he became very angry. He sent me $50.00.... I would like to know what to do to bring this matter before the judge...I have no $ for an Attorney; there are no children involved anymore. I will have to do this by myself and I am scared...........

In order for it to be taken out of his checks you had to have a court order stating this. His company should comply with that court order. He does not have the authority to change that. If he still works for this company then I would contact the human resource department to ask them why they are not following the court order. It could be he doesn't work there anymore and just has not told you that. Most companies would no better than to take an employees word over a court order. After contacting them and getting a response let us know where you are at and we can try to help more but right now something doesn't add up at the job.

Also does his new company have a copy of the order to take it out of payroll? I know in my state there is a child support division in the DA's office that would handle this, do you have that there?

I did talk to them at his work they are from Greece and did not understand. In the meantime he has quit that job and moved out of state and bought a house... He has been gainfully working full time for 4 months now in the new location. The company he works for now is a Major employer in his state. I believe that he has not told them about his spousal support order. He gets very angry when I contact him and mention $$$$

there is a court order to withhold my spousal support, but not at this new company. how do I inform the new company about it??? and should I go thru the courts?
